Comforts for Baby--Saving you money

I'm sure I don't have to tell any of you how expensive it can be to raise a child. Last years study posted on CNN Money's website stated that raising a child from birth to age 18 would cost roughly $226,000. And that's not including college. That's just the basics. So saving money here and there really can help, which is why I'm excited about this blog post.

Recently I was given the opportunity to test out some products from Kroger's Comforts(R) line. This is their own line of products that range from diapers and wipes to pacifiers and bibs and bowls to bottle scrubbers. They thought of everything. They also thought of quality and price.

I was able to test out diapers, wipes and their spill proof cups. Let me just tell you that these products rock. The diapers have not failed us yet. They are thick enough to avoid leaks and my daughters sensitive skin has not seen one rash since we started using these diapers. The design on the diapers is cute too. There was no girl or boy print that I saw so if you have more than one child in diapers and they are not the same gender you don't have to worry about who's diapers will go on who. I've seen this dilemma and while it sounds silly, it happens. A two year old boy does know if you put him in a diaper that has a princess on it. lol.

Notice the cute bee design :)

The wipes are thick and even better, they don't smell funny. Can I just say I hate it when I buy wipes and they smell like they have already been used. I'm not sure what scent some of these companies are trying to achieve but they are getting it w-r-o-n-g. These wipes were awesome and I don't think I will ever use another brand again as long as there is a Kroger's near me.

I know its hard to tell from a pic, but can you see the thickness?

The spill proof cups. How many times have you bought a sippy for your child and it leaked the very first time they used it? Or it was great until you put it in the dishwasher just one time and now its warped and won't close properly? There has only been one specific sippy ever that has not leaked and let me tell you its almost hard to find. I'm guessing this is because anyone who knows about a sippy that doesn't leak, buys that sippy in bulk. So I was honestly a little bit nervous to try the Comforts(R) spill proof cup. I wanted it to work but was ready for disappointment. The first thing I noticed when I took these cups out was the super cool cap. You can flip this cap over and cover the spout of the sippy. So when you throw it in your diaper bag or purse, flip the cap first and keep the spout clean. Nice. So now to test the sippy. I poured water into the spill proof cup and shook it like there was no tomorrow. I held it upside down and shook it, I dropped it on the floor several times and then it held it upside down and shook it some more. This cup was not leaking. Not one drop. I put it in the dishwasher and ran a cycle. Twice. The sippy was still perfect. No warping and no leaking. These designers are geniuses.

Notice the yellow cap? I flipped it up a little so you can see it. But when not in use it pushes all the way down so its level with the cup and doesn't stick out.

I'm looking forward to trying out more of the Comforts(R) products and I hope you will give them a try as well. Head over to where you can explore the products for yourself and even get some coupons. You can load them onto your Kroger or Kroger affiliate card. For us our affiliate store is Fry's.

Disclosure: I was given these products to try out by BzzAgent, a word of mouth company. I test the product, tell people what I think of the product (pros and cons) and report back to BzzAgent to let them know about the buzz I created and what people thought.
